Cricket Formats Explained
To succeed at cricket betting, you need a clear understanding of the different formats. Each format has its own characteristics and the betting markets differ as well.
T20
Each team plays 20 overs, usually finishing in 3–4 hours. Because it is a fast-paced format, in-play betting is very popular. Many markets are available including runs in the next over, match winner, and toss result.
One-Day (ODI)
Each team plays 50 overs and the match runs throughout the day. There are far more betting options including top run-scorer, high score, and partnership markets.
Test
A 5-day match with unlimited overs per innings. Suited for long-term betting — markets include match draw, series winner, and centurion.
The Hundred
Each team plays 100 balls. This newer format is popular in England, and some players from Bangladesh have also taken part.
Popular Leagues
BPL: Bangladesh Premier League — domestic franchise T20.
IPL: Indian Premier League — the most popular T20 league in South Asia.
BBL: Big Bash League — Australia's top T20 tournament.
PSL: Pakistan Super League — another major franchise league in the subcontinent.
Types of Slot Games
Online slot games come in many varieties. Each has its own features and appeal. Find out which type of slot suits you best.
Classic Slots
Simple 3-reel games with traditional fruit and bar symbols. Ideal for beginners. NetEnt and Microgaming are well known for making this type of game.
Video Slots
Theme-based gameplay with advanced graphics across 5 reels. Includes bonus rounds and free spins. Pragmatic Play's Sweet Bonanza is an example of this category.
Jackpot Slots
Games with a progressive jackpot where the prize keeps growing. Microgaming is well known in this space.
Megaways Slots
The reel height changes with every spin, which can push the number of ways to win into the thousands. PG Soft has created Mahjong Ways in this format.
Cascading Reels
Winning symbols explode and new symbols drop in, giving you the chance to win multiple times in a single spin. Pragmatic Play's Gates of Olympus uses this mechanic.
Cluster Pays
You win when a set number of matching symbols form a cluster. NetEnt pioneered this format as an alternative to traditional paylines.

How to Read Odds
Decimal Odds
Decimal odds are the most common format in Bangladesh. The higher the number, the higher the reward — but the lower the chance of winning.
Example: You place a ৳500 bet at odds of 1.80.
Total return = ৳500 × 1.80 = ৳900
Profit = ৳900 - ৳500 = ৳400
Implied Probability
Probability can be worked out from odds. Odds of 1.80 mean 1 ÷ 1.80 = roughly 56% chance of winning in the bookmaker's view.
Format Comparison
| Format | Example | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.80 | Total return of ৳1.80 for a ৳1 bet |
| Fractional | 4/5 | ৳4 profit on a ৳5 bet |
| American | -125 | ৳100 profit on a ৳125 bet |
Bankroll Management Guide
Proper bankroll management is the foundation of responsible gaming. Follow the guidelines below to avoid financial loss and keep gaming enjoyable.
- Set a budget: Decide in advance how much you will spend each month or each session. Never exceed that limit. Only spend money that you can afford to lose without affecting your daily life.
- Divide your sessions: Split your total budget across several sessions. Do not spend it all in one session. For example, if your budget is ৳1,000, run 4 sessions of ৳250 each.
- Follow the 1–5% rule: Place a maximum of 1–5% of your total bankroll on each bet. Putting a large amount on a single bet increases the risk of losing everything quickly.
- Develop the habit of stopping after a win: End your session once you reach a set goal. Avoid the "just one more" mindset — holding on to winnings is part of the skill.
- Set a loss limit: Stop immediately if you lose a set amount in any session. Resist the urge to chase losses, as that often leads to losing even more.
- Keep records: Write down the deposits, wins, and losses for every session. This will keep you aware of the real picture and help you stay in control of your habits.
